What Is Failing: Devolution or the Governors?A Youth Dialogue on Accountability, Service Delivery and the Future of Devolution in Kenya
A virtual dialogue that will bring together young people, civil society actors, and governance stakeholders to reflect on the state of devolution in Kenya. The session, themed “What Is Failing: Devolution or the Governors?”, will examine the gains and challenges of devolution since 2013, with a focus on accountability, corruption, public service delivery, and citizen participation. Participants will explore whether current governance failures stem from system gaps or leadership shortcomings, and propose solutions to strengthen transparency, fiscal openness, and public oversight. The event aims to promote informed civic engagement and youth participation in strengthening county governance.
For one week in May, come together to share ideas, discuss solutions, and commit to new levels of citizen participation in government.
