The walkthrough is specially designed to equip CSOs and the community with the knowledge and tools to effectively navigate the portal, track public funds, and monitor all ongoing development projects in the municipality right from their screens. It aims to leverage technology to champion accountability, foster collaboration, and strengthen citizen-led monitoring in the community.

The open house for the procurement dashboard.. This dashboard acts as a public tracker showing the current status of projects, total costs, winning bidders, and the specific offices responsible in case of project delays.

The formal turnover of the CSO Multi-Year Development Plan to the Municipal Mayor serves as the vital link between civic advocacy and state implementation. By submitting this document for inclusion in the LGU’s Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP), 2027-2032, the LGU institutionalizes grassroots participation. This integration guarantees that the sector-specific programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) identified by citizens are woven into the long-term socio-economic and spatial blueprint of the municipality, securing funding and executive support. The turnover of the CSO Development Plan is uniquely opportune, as the LGU’s CDP Team is scheduled to hold its finalization workshop on May 19–21, 2026.

15 Years of the Open Government Partnership

OGP Logo

Fifteen years ago, OGP launched with a simple but radical premise: that government should serve the people, not the other way around. Over fifteen years, OGP has become the foremost global forum for advancing transparency, accountability, and public participation in government.

In an era of democratic regression and geopolitical fragmentation, platforms that sustain targeted collaborations among likeminded states and between governments and civil society are strategically vital. OGP is one of the few to endure.

The next phase requires action across the partnership: Governments forming cross-border coalitions to address common priorities; political leaders integrating openness into core national agendas; donors and funders sustaining investment and enabling scale; civil society continuing to propose, push, monitor, and demand.

The question ahead is scale and commitment.
