Esta actividad busca generar un espacio colaborativo de diálogo y construcción colectiva en torno a los desafíos que enfrenta la implementación de una política de ciencia abierta en el Ecuador, partiendo del reconocimiento del acceso al conocimiento como un derecho fundamental. Convocamos a actores del sistema de ciencia, tecnología e innovación (investigadores, docentes, estudiantes, funcionarios públicos, colectivos ciudadanos y comunidades técnicas) para reflexionar conjuntamente sobre los principales obstáculos que dificultan una ciencia abierta efectiva, y proponer estrategias que garanticen su implementación con enfoque de justicia social, equidad y sostenibilidad.

Durante la jornada se trabajará a través de metodologías participativas para identificar barreras normativas, culturales, tecnológicas y evaluativas, así como oportunidades y alianzas que permitan transformar el ecosistema científico nacional hacia uno más abierto, inclusivo y democrático.

The Open Government Challenge is a call to action for all members of OGP to raise ambition in ten areas of open government to help strengthen our democracies. Over the next five years, all members of the Partnership should aim to raise the ambition of reforms in 10 policy areas and demonstrate relevant progress in as many of the areas of the Challenge through their OGP action plans or beyond.We must act together to make a difference, because only when governments, public officials, and civil society work together, we see more ambitious and impactful reforms that transform our communities.

It’s our time to meet the moment. Let’s use Open Gov Week to take on the the Open Gov Challenge.
