The DSSC Open Government Week 2026: Open House, Public Assistance, and Citizen Engagement Activities is a week-long institutional initiative in support of the nationwide observance of Open Government Week 2026. The activity aims to promote transparency, accountability, accessibility, and citizen participation through information dissemination, public assistance services, academic engagement, and interactive communication initiatives.

The celebration will feature governance and academic information booths, office open house activities, online public engagement through official communication platforms, and the conduct of the A.B.R.I. 2026: DSSC Virtual Open House and Career Guidance. Through these activities, the College seeks to strengthen public trust, improve service accessibility, and foster meaningful engagement with students, stakeholders, and the community.

15 Years of the Open Government Partnership

OGP Logo

Fifteen years ago, OGP launched with a simple but radical premise: that government should serve the people, not the other way around. Over fifteen years, OGP has become the foremost global forum for advancing transparency, accountability, and public participation in government.

In an era of democratic regression and geopolitical fragmentation, platforms that sustain targeted collaborations among likeminded states and between governments and civil society are strategically vital. OGP is one of the few to endure.

The next phase requires action across the partnership: Governments forming cross-border coalitions to address common priorities; political leaders integrating openness into core national agendas; donors and funders sustaining investment and enabling scale; civil society continuing to propose, push, monitor, and demand.

The question ahead is scale and commitment.
