OpenBudget.Academy: Strengthening Public Participation in Public Procurement Monitoring
This event is part of Open Gov Week 2026 and aims to promote transparency, public participation, and accountability in governance, particularly in monitoring public spending and public procurement processes.
Through a panel discussion format, the event will bring together representatives from government institutions, civil society organizations, and digital democracy initiatives to discuss how digital technology can strengthen citizen participation and public oversight in governance.
The discussion will also highlight the importance of strengthening public capacity to access, understand, and utilize open data as a tool for monitoring public policies and government spending.
In addition, the event will introduce OpenBudget.Academy, an online learning platform developed by PATTIRO Semarang to support public education on budget transparency, public procurement, and the use of open-source data for civic oversight and evidence-based public participation.
For one week in May, come together to share ideas, discuss solutions, and commit to new levels of citizen participation in government.
