This activity embodies the values of Open Government Week by showcasing a digital transformation proposal that enhances transparency, accountability, and participation. By modernizing systems, reducing inefficiencies, and ensuring fairness in critical areas such as hiring, procurement , and elections, these initiatives demonstrate how technology can strengthen trust, openness, and good governance even within a university setting. The following systems will be presented prior to their official launching:
a. Campus-Based and PWD-inclusive Attendance Monitoring and Payroll System
b. Recruitment and Selection Information System
c. SUNNSIGN: Document Signing and Tracking System
d. UniProcure: Procurement Management and Monitoring System (PMMS)
e. SUNNELECT: University Automated Election System
The presentation is online and facilitated by the ICT.

15 Years of the Open Government Partnership

Fifteen years ago, OGP launched with a simple but radical premise: that government should serve the people, not the other way around. Over fifteen years, OGP has become the foremost global forum for advancing transparency, accountability, and public participation in government.

In an era of democratic regression and geopolitical fragmentation, platforms that sustain targeted collaborations among likeminded states and between governments and civil society are strategically vital. OGP is one of the few to endure.

The next phase requires action across the partnership: Governments forming cross-border coalitions to address common priorities; political leaders integrating openness into core national agendas; donors and funders sustaining investment and enabling scale; civil society continuing to propose, push, monitor, and demand.

The question ahead is scale and commitment.
