Access for All: a Short Course on Accessing Free Resources and AI Tools for Research and Learning
Amidst the growing focus on AI in academic and professional settings, freely available academic resources and open-access databases often go overlooked. The Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) Library emphasizes that researchers must know both AI and alternative sources. Aligned with the 2026 Open Gov Week’s theme “Co-create. Collaborate. Contribute.,” the Library Access Week (May 19–22) will feature the short course “Access for All,” equipping participants with skills to navigate free credible resources and AI tools—advancing open knowledge, digital literacy, and community empowerment.
For one week in May, come together to share ideas, discuss solutions, and commit to new levels of citizen participation in government.
