As part of Open Gov Week 2026, the Assembly Channel will feature a week-long programme promoting open, transparent and accountable governance. The programme will be placed in the wider context of North Macedonia’s sixth National Action Plan for Open Government and the Assembly’s third Open Parliament Action Plan.
The Assembly TV Channel will include a series of statements and discussions throughout the week. On Monday (18.05), MPs will share statements on open government during the country wide Parliamentary Caravan visiting a number of universities in different cities of the country. On Tuesday (19.05), the Secretary General of the Assembly Ms. Marina Dimovska will deliver a statement on behalf of OGP Week highlighting Parliament’s commitments in this direction. On Wednesday (20.05), Minister of Public Administration Mr. Goran Minchev will air an interview with the Assembly TV Channel on the Governments commitments to openness, followed on Thursday (21.05) by the President of the Assembly Mr. Afrim Gashi (to be confirmed).
The week will conclude on Friday (22.05) with a TV debate titled “Open Government in Practice: Partnership, Participation and Trust,” featuring Ms. Gordana Gapikj-Dimitrovska, Mr. German Filkov, Ms. Danche Danilovska-Bajdevska and Mr. Zlatko Atanasov. The debate will focus on partnership, participation, trust-building, lessons learned and future priorities for more open, responsible and inclusive institutions.
The Parliament Support Programme supports the Assembly in advancing openness, transparency, citizen participation and institutional accountability, including through activities that help make parliamentary work more visible and accessible to citizens thereby contributing to the Assembly’s contribution to open parliament and open government commitments.
