Open Data at The Municipal Level
Germany’s Open Data activities are part of the National Action Plans as part of its participation in the Open Government Partnership. There still seems to be a long way to go to make Germany a “pioneer for the innovative and responsible use and sharing of data,” as the German government announced as a target when it presented the digital program in April 2022. The key challenge is: How can all Open Data stakeholders across sectors continue to make this journey as conducive as possible? And what can Germany learn from international pioneers, especially from its immediate neighbor France?
