During the lecture, the following issues will be raised: the essence and content of the concept of “civil society”, the definition of civil society organizations in official EU documents, the genesis of the concept of “civil society”, the history of the creation and development of trade unions, the functioning of international trade union organizations. As well as the features of the creation and functioning of CSOs in individual countries of Europe and North America, trends in the development of CSOs in the world, the formation of civil society in Ukraine (Orange Revolution, Revolution of Dignity, Russian-Ukrainian war).
